How are some ways to remember guitar strings?
The Unnoticed asked:
I just got an acoustic guitar for Christmas and I’m trying to learn how to play some songs on it but every time it takes me a long time to remember what string is what. So does anyone have any ways of remembering. I need something like the thing for the planets. My very easy method just speeds up names. Something like that but for the order of the strings.
Thanks

The strings, starting from the lowest, are E A D G B e
an easy way is to start one of these sentences, Each Ar$e Deserves Good Beatings Everyday
You could be much more creative than I in creating a sentence that means something to you.
That would make it easier
Standard tuning: EADGBe
Eat
Apples
Daily
Good
Boy
ed
That’s how I was tought. Also remember that every note has a sharp, except for b and e. (breaking and entering.) So the whole thing would be: (*=sharp)
Aa*BCc*Dd*EFf*Gg* and back to A. is a great and free place to learn.
well if u can’t remember E G B D A e just number 1 2 3 4 5 6 ( #1 is the high e string) also don’t give up playing guitar no matter how bad ur fingers hurt when you start off
from lowest to highest(top to bottom) E A D G B e
Every Ant Does Good Bad everyday
Eat All Delicious Green Beans everyday
Eeek! All Dads Grouch Because earth
sorry those were bad
from highest to lowesr (bottom to top) e B G D A E
every Boy Get Deep Almonds Everyday
even Bill Gates Drives At Eighty mph
hope these help
its simple just remember the third string is the G-string
and that you have two E-strings, the first and the last string…
one B string which is the second string
fourth is the D string
and there you have it!!
