How to call people on the iPod Touch using Fring (No Jailbreaking Required!)
Please Subscribe. (READ) We will be using a free app from the iTunes App Store called Fring. This allows us to make VOIP phone calls.
Here is how to do it:
1) Download Fring from the iTunes App Store.
2) Sync it to your device.
3) Go to voipstunt.com, then click on the download tab. Then click “Download voip stunt.”
4) Wait for it to download and then click on the setup voipstunt desktop icon.
5) Download the program
6) Click on the new Voip Stunt desktop icon, click new user, and fill out all of the required information.
7) Go to the fring app on your device. 
Click add ons
9) Click SIP from the list
10) Now click on the Voip Stunt button
11) Enter the log on info in. (You use the same info you used when you installed Voip Stunt on your computer
12) Log in (If successful, you should have a check mark near the SIP icon.)
13)Hit dialer
14) Now enter a phone number. Be sure if you live in the US, you include 1 and then the area code before the actual #.
**This only works if you have a iPhone or 2G iPod Touch**
Also, I would recommend buying Skype Out. It allows you to use the Skype VoIP service for either 2.95/month or you can get $10 credits. (Which should be around 500 min.) The Voip Stunt is one of the several Voip providers you can use. You can make more accounts when the app starts failing.
would it work if i plugged in a pair of earphones with a mic on them? could i talk back? and does this only work with Wi Fi?
my one works fine on a home phone but when i call mobile it does not work….why?

thats bullshit cause the ipod touch does not have a speakers only the second generation ipod touch has and why on the second part wher the light is brighter would there be a piece of paper on the spot where the iphones speaker would be thats a iphone

Is anyone else having problems registering a new account? It just kinda hangs at “Registering….” for about 30 mins now…Joy.. Overloaded servers perhaps?

ummm he never called it an iphone, throughout the video he called it the ipod touch, and stated that it was “kinda like an iphone, which is pretty cool” he never once said it was one.
Look at the end of the video. Clearly an iPod touch – he even turns it around. You can tell because an iPhone has either a black or white back, while the iPod touch has a [distorted] mirror. AND the hold button is on the right side of the iPod touch if you look at it from the back.

this is really cool!! i have a question though…where do you buy the microphones for it at?? i was really excited when it worked but it would be even better when i can talk back to the person that i have called!!! and i have another question how do u change the number it says that your ipod is?? i thought it woud say restricted or i thought i could change it?!
u can only do that if u pay for it as its not free to download
