How to Write a Fugue
Danielpi asked:
A silly, pretentious instructional video I made for Prof. James Gardner’s Sight & Sound: TV course, where I write a fugue based on the theme from Britney Spear’s “Oops I Did It Again”.

HAHAHAHHA special thanks to Bach and Britney Spears.
I love the fugue (and the face of the guy when he´s talking about Britney).
The instructional fugue had me on the floor. Laughing…
And the “Special thanks to Britney Spears and Johann Sebastian Bach” made me laugh as well.
lol the funny part is that you actually know what you’re talking about
oops he got the answer wrong! although i suppose i’m missing the point!
hi, could you post the script? it’s difficult to follow, but great idea to keep it under 5 mins
haha awesome!!
Very clever! Thanks very much.
You made that song sound so much better by turning it into a fugue.
I’m still wondering about the “dick” symbolism. I liked it…but I’m still wondering. Perhaps if you composed on an organ next time?
yeah…my bad.. i’ve been lacking perceptiveness today.
Are you kidding? Did you see the opening and closing credits?
why would you suggest that?
You’re a really big fan of “A Clockwork Orange,” aren’t you?
lol “oops i did it again”
Just great!! Five stars!
Nice vid. I hope you do an actual “how to” some day.
0:51. priceless.
LOL, he erases a dick before writing the music on the board.
It’s called matting. Any video editing program can do it. You can do it with three photos and a pair of scissors. Put a still camera on a tripod, and take three photos, each with you in a different position against the same background. Then cut the three photos and paste together — the backgrounds will match, because you didn’t move the camera between shots. Stupid and easy, no?
Hey, how did you do the split screen thing? Is there a certain program?
